First Success!

July 16th, 2012!
Norman Reedus autographs returned to my mail box!
Awesome!
I really appreciate him taking time out to sign my photos, I wish he had the time to read my letter, I asked him to sign one to my buddy Matt... but they both came with my name on them!  No complaints though!

Here are the pictures:

Thanks for looking!  Hoping others start coming back now!

Also, since this is an Update Day:
I sent a request out to Ashley Greene @ CBGB Filming Venue
and a request to Mark Ruffalo @ Can A Song Save Your Life Filming Venue!
Wish me luck!

Today's Thoughts on Autographs

Hey Guys,
Obviously, I have not posted any updates because I have not gotten any responses, yet.  The requests only went out a few days ago, maybe a week at this time.  The ones to the agents and agencies will take a month or two at the earliest... and the ones to the personal addresses may just never come back.
I don't know how to feel or what to think about what I did.  I sent letters and items to be sent to the home addresses of three currently very popular people.

What are the odds of getting a response from them?
Here are my thoughts.

Suzanne Collins: 10-1 Odds of getting my book signed.  I have seen her sign one that was sent to her house. I let her know the book I sent was a birthday gift.  I don't expect much besides the standard Hunger Games quote and her autograph.

Josh Hutcherson: 3-1 Odds of getting my photograph signed.  Josh seems to really enjoy his fans.  He's young and popular, and really a decent guy.  An autograph dealer has even recently gone on record saying that he caught Josh at the airport, and he signed all 30 photographs he was carrying.  That is a bit extreme to ask him to do, but he did it. Still makes me uneasy that I sent to his address, but it isn't like I am showing up there, I live across the country, and frankly, if he doesn't want to sign... he can just RTS it or throw it in the trash bin.  I feel relatively confident he will sign the one photograph I sent him.

Jennifer Lawrence:  The odds are just not in my favor.  I'd give it 100-1 odds.  Miss Lawrence has some really odd habits.  She has an official fan mail address that is in Kentucky.  She lives in California.  Someone in Kentucky signs her name to photos, and those signatures look nothing like what anyone has seen from her in person.  Clearly, she or her agents expect people to not realize they are getting fakes.  Does she care about her fans?  Hard to say.  People have written to her Via Venue, the set of Serena is a good example.  Some people have received authentic autographs from her via that set, but a larger number of people received secretarial signatures from the set instead.  How odd.
She has been seen helping a passed out girl on the lawn at her condo.  What a really nice thing to do, not everyone would do that, celebrity status or not.  She's got a heart.  She appears to sometimes taking an extra moment or two to give paparazzi a nice photo of her.  But other times, like most stars, she just tries to go about her daily life trying to be like everyone else.
Here are the photos recently taken of here where she appears have to paused to give someone a nice shot:

Really nice of her isnt it?  I really think she is a gem.

Even if she doesn't sign my autograph, I can forgive her for that.  I did send to her house, and after this week, she might be a little overloaded with people/items showing up where she lives.  Even if the drunk teenager is just a coincidence, and was not looking for JLaw.

Do I feel bad about sending to their homes?  I do, incredibly bad, actually.  I invaded their small bits of privacy.  Their sanctuaries.  And I don't believe I would do it again.  I really hope these three lovely people accept my apology as I wrote it in my letters to them.

We'll see, as time will tell!

What do you think about these three celebrities?  Is Josh as nice as he seems?  Is Jennifer already too big for her fans that don't catch her in person at official functions?  Or is she just trying to please as many fans as possible by having someone else help her with all her autograph requests through the mail?  I'd love to read your comments!

Delivery

There was no update yesterday... so here is today's:

My letter to Miss. Lawrence:
processed at the Los Angeles Sort Facility at 2:33 am (I assume Local Time) June 27th
Arrived at the Santa Monica Post Office at 5:23 am
Delivered at 12:59pm June 27th

Pretty cool watching how the Postal Service works... I think maybe I shouldn't have used tracking through, even if I use it constantly with stuff I send out that is important to me.  And the Collins, Hutcherson, and Lawrence letters and requests were important to me compared to other requests that were sent out.

No more updates for a bit on these three because who knows how soon they will get to opening them yet alone replying and dropping back at the post office or mail box!

Thanks for reading!

Next Up:
Gwyneth Paltrow at the Iron Man 3 set

I still feel a little sick over this.

Delayed Update

So I have totally slacked off on my blogging here.  Pretty lame of me.
Anyways, I have learned something very important... and just as depressing about the autograph request I sent to Kentucky for Jennifer Lawrence.  For the most part, she probably does not actually see the mail she gets there, and every time an autograph comes back from there and compared to her real autographs that have been gotten in public... they are not even close.  Its kinda heart breaking.

So back on topic.
on June 21st I sent two requests out.
- One to the lovely Isabelle Fuhrman,  You may know her as Clove from 'The Hunger Games' or that creepy little girl in "Orphan"
The other request went to Normal Reedus, or Daryl Dixon from 'The Walking Dead' and many other movies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

On the 22nd, I sent out two more requests.
- One to Nikki Reed, the phenomenal actress we all know as Rosalie Hale from 'Twilight' fame.
- A book was sent to Ms. Suzanne Collins.  Author of The Hunger Games.  This was actually sent to her Priority Mail, because the outgoing was cheaper with tracking than sending it just First Class Parcel without tracking.  The return postage was also paid for, and was sent with a Priority Mail box to return it in.  Tracking as follows:
June 22nd - Accepted - Lebanon, PA
June 22nd - Arrived Sort Facility - Philadelphia, PA
June 24th - Departed Sort Facility - Philadelphia, PA
June 24th - Processed through Sort Facility - (Destination State)

*** This particular autograph was sent to her residence, so I really apologized to her for bothering her at home, but her publisher returns all autograph requests to their senders.  So I took a chance and sent it.  Please Do Not Ask Me For Her Home Address.  I Will Not Give It Out To Anyone.  Sorry!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday the 23rd, I sent out a fifth request.
This one is special to me.  It went out to Mr. Josh Hutcherson.  Peeta Mellark from 'The Hunger Games' and many other very cool roles.  This went out Priority Mail as well, and when I checked tracking on it, here is what I have so far:
June 23rd - Accepted - Lebanon, PA
June 24th - Departed Sort Facility - Harrisburg, PA
Expected Delivery Date: June 26th, 2012
Picture Sent:

I really like the training uniforms, and since Josh and Jennifer are friends off set, maybe he'll get her to sign it too! haha doubt it. (Of course I doubted ever finding a private address for him or Jennifer)

***This package was also sent to a private address, so again I apologized for choosing to invade his privacy by sending it to his residence in hopes of him actually reading my letter and signing my picture instead of having it "auto penned" or signed by a machine.
Please Do Not Ask Me For His Home Address.  I Will Not Give It Out To Anyone.  Sorry!

This night I also did something that makes me nervous.  I believe I found the address for Jennifer Lawrence, Miss Katniss Everdeen from 'The Hunger Games'  Why does it make me nervous you ask?  Simply because she is a young beautiful woman.  And it's just different from sending it to a male actor's house or even to an accomplished writer such as Ms. Collins.

Tonight Sunday June 24th/Monday the 25th early morning,
I wrote a letter out to Miss Lawrence.  It was two hand written pages long, and there was a heartfelt apology written in it, as well as gratitude for being such an awesome role model for younger fans, male and female.
I actually have a picture coming to me in the mail, it matches the picture I sent to her KY address:

This is the one I actually want her to sign, but I sent a backup in case something happened to the first one, or she just felt like signing a second one.
When the picture gets delivered, which should be roughly 11am EST, I will just put it into the return envelope with my letter, and mail it out Priority Mail to her, and hope it gets there.  And that she feels like forgiving me and signing it.  (If either her or Mr. Hutcherson decide it would be better to burn my letters and pictures, I couldn't blame them.  I did invade their privacy, but I am hoping I beat the odds.)
Please Do Not Ask Me For Her Home Address.  I Will Not Give It Out To Anyone.  Sorry!

I will update or post a new blog later today when I find out any more information on any of the above requests.

Starting Off

Okay, So I am going to start up with some autographs as a hobby.  I have many hobbies, but autographs are pretty much my favorite thing.  I have many autographs... Mostly from Voice Actors who are in English Dubbed Anime.  Have many great ones actually.  Too many to list today.  I will come back to this topic.

What I want to do today is start with my Autograph Collecting TTM or Through The Mail.  On June 4th, 2012 I wrote a letter to Jennifer Lawrence, to ask for an autograph.  The photograph and the letter were packaged on the 4th (My Birthday, because that is why we have birthday wishes, right?) And shipped out on the 5th.
Here is the path it took:
June 5th, Lebanon, PA
June 6th, Philadelphia, PA
June 7th, Lewisville, KY
June 11th, Delivered to Lewisville, KY

Pretty cool watching the path items take.  Now I just have to wait for it to be sent back.  My only concern with this, is even though I used the address from her official website, it has been determined by the autograph community that Ms. Lawrence does not sign most of the autographs from that location, a secretary does (in this case it is believed to be a family member)

I wrote her a quick letter, asking for a personalization, and wished her luck in the theme of Panem from the Hunger Games movie.

I'll update this blog as my adventures continue.  But first, I will get back ASAP to list out my official Autographs.  My favorite is probably from the Olympic Athlete, Gymnast Jamie Dantzscher, which is her autograph on a photo I actually took, and she sent back a quick letter to go with it.  It was insanely cool!

I'll post it ASAP!

*EDIT* June 26th 2012

Promised to post the picture... and the letter.  She was so nice.  I bet she still is!
